About Me

From Soldier to Coach

My journey in fitness began long before I realized it. I joined in Feb 2008, and was medically released in June 2022. I did BCT at Fort Knox, KY. I completed my AIT in Fort Leonard Wood, MO. I spent my first six years conducting bridge building and boating operations as part of the 341st MRBC. I deployed in Sep 2009 to FOB Sharana, Paktika Provence Afghanistan. I returned home and completed Warrior Leadership Course in Fort McCoy WI., directly following. I reclassed to 12B combat engineer and maintained the rest of my career with the 545 BSTB. I was promoted to Sergeant in 2011, where I learned to train soldiers in maintaining physical fitness standards, tactical operations, and team development. Obstacle courses and ruck marches became my specialties and go to for completing team building task. It's through 13 years of training in physically demanding and mentally strenuous environments, that had taught me the value of discipline, patience, and perseverance.

My personal fitness transformation began after my release from the army, coupled with my eventual divorce in the same month. Searching for stability and clarity, I turned to running, not because it was something I enjoyed in the moment, but because it was the only way I felt like I had control over something. I was able to control how long I was able to run for, how far, and how much effort I wanted to put into it. Running soon became my meditation, thanks to apps such as NIKE RUN CLUB and the likes of coach bennet, to keep me motivated an pushing to become something better. I learned to meditate during my runs, finding silver linings in every bad situation. What started as a necessity evolved into a passion. I studied every aspect of running I could.  Learning from magazines, internet, fellow soldiers of the past and explored every technique offered by some of the greatest runners the world has to offer. After a year of

preparation and never really running distance runs, I was able to complete my first half-marathon. The motto "slow is smooth and smooth is fast" guided me, both on the trail and in life.

Strength training followed naturally. As someone who values growth, resilience and a challenge. I embraced strength training and nutrition as tools for my continued physical and mental development. My love for cooking paired with the knowledge i have gained from my nutrition certification, I had an easier time understanding the importance of Macro/Micronutrients and the importance they have on the microbiomes that compose our bodies. Strength training came naturally to me once I had a better understanding of kinesiology. I used every resource and asset I had at my disposal to create a workout program best tailored to my wants, needs and efforts. I'm truly thrilled to share every bit of knowledge and recipe i have learned to help anyone committed to their own goals.

Highly motivated to deepen my understanding of fitness and help others on their journeys, I began studying with the international sports sciences association (ISSA).

Today, I combine my military experience, passion for running, strength training, and nutritional knowledge to help clients push beyond their limits. My approach is built on mental resilience, structured progress, and personalized coaching. Fitness isn't just about reaching goals, it's about becoming the best version of yourself through discipline, learning, and persistence. Thats the journey I'm on, and I'm here to help others find theirs.
